Duck Hunters rules: follow a complete round

In brief

Eight matching symbols pay anywhere; automatic cascades belong to the same paid round. Read the full cost before choosing a booster, bonus purchase or Extra Spin.

1. Check the stake, mode and balance

Duck Hunters is a six-reel, five-row video slot from Nolimit City. Its thirty positions form the playing area. You do not choose a winning line, aim a shot or click a particular symbol. Select a stake and start a round. The shooting effects belong to the presentation; they are not a separate aiming game.

The lower-left BET amount is the base stake. The lower-right BALANCE is the available virtual balance in the public demo. The large circular arrow starts a round. The pink lightning button opens the bonus and booster panel. The menu button leads to the paytable, rules, settings and history. These controls have different jobs, so check which panel is open before pressing the large arrow.

For a first look, leave the panel on ordinary play and choose a small base stake. Our recorded baseline used €1 without xBet, Day modes or bonus purchases. That describes the observed sample, not a recommended money-making setting. The demo’s €10,000 opening balance is a practice allowance, not a deposit, prize or withdrawable amount.

A mode can change the total cost while the base stake remains €1. Day 2 costs €2.80 per start in the inspected original client. The base stake still determines symbol values. Before continuing after opening a booster panel, read the selected mode and its charge. Do not assume that closing the panel restores ordinary play.

The fast-play control changes presentation speed. A faster animation is not evidence of better odds or a different result. Use a pace that lets you see the final balance. During a winning animation, another click may shorten the presentation or do nothing. In our recording, a click during a win produced no new game request.

Sound can be switched off with the speaker control. Settings separate music from sound effects. These are comfort controls, not payout settings. If the board is hard to read on a phone, try landscape orientation or the official full-page launch. Increasing the stake does not make the controls easier to understand.

For example, the first recorded ordinary round started at €10,000, charged €1 and returned zero. Its final balance was €9,999. The next round charged another €1 and returned €43.40, producing €10,041.40. The balance increased by €42.40 during that second round, even though its gross win label showed €43.40.

2. Count symbols and follow the cascade

An ordinary scatter win needs at least eight symbols of the same paying kind anywhere on the board. They do not need to touch or run from the leftmost reel. The paytable groups matches into bands such as eight or nine, ten or eleven, and twelve or more. Both the symbol and the size of the match matter.

After a win, matching symbols disappear. New symbols fall into the spaces and the refreshed board is evaluated. This is a cascade, called an avalanche in the client’s round states. It belongs to the original paid round. You do not pay the ordinary stake again for each automatic cascade. Do not count every animation as another bet.

A winning position receives a 2× multiplier. If a later win uses a position with an existing multiplier, that multiplier doubles. Positions can therefore progress through 2×, 4×, 8× and higher values during the round. The original caps an individual position at 8,192×. That is separate from its overall 30,000× payout cap.

The position value belongs to the square, not to a permanent balance for the pictured symbol. If a different symbol drops there, the square’s multiplier remains part of the round state. A large multiplier without a qualifying win does not pay merely because it appears. Follow the winning combination and accumulated return, not just the largest glowing number.

Wild symbols substitute for regular paying symbols. They do not replace the Bonus symbol used to trigger free spins. Ordinary matching-symbol counts and Bonus-symbol counts answer different questions. A board can show several special symbols without producing the feature you expected.

The paytable displays money in the same currency as the stake. Read it at the selected base stake. A displayed €0.30 is not automatically a universal 0.30× return; the selected stake and multiplier state matter. The three-version comparison explains why the same-looking symbol or menu label can have different consequences in another edition.

An illustrative count is two matching symbols near the left edge, three in the middle and three on the right. Eight in total can form a scatter win without a straight line. Do not count a Bonus as that paying symbol or assume that every special symbol substitutes for it.

Each rectangle represents one position. The original is the left-hand six-by-five board. All three contain thirty positions; equal position counts do not establish equal probabilities.

3. Separate xWays, Infectious xWays and Bombs

An xWays symbol reveals a regular paying symbol and multiplies its position multiplier by 2, 4 or 8. If several xWays symbols land together, they reveal the same symbol. This can help create a match, but xWays alone does not promise a win. The final count and position values still need evaluation.

Infectious xWays also affects the other matching symbols on the board, expanding them to the same size. One reveal can therefore change more than its own square. Keep expansion separate from the position multiplier: one concerns the revealed symbols; the other concerns the values attached to positions. They can happen together without being the same rule.

The original Bomb removes regular paying symbols in the surrounding three-by-three area and doubles affected position multipliers. Bonus and Wild symbols are unaffected. When several Bombs appear, they explode before the next collapse. A corner Bomb cannot remove nonexistent positions outside the board, so not every placement clears nine paying symbols.

During free spins, an upgraded Bomb reaches a five-by-five area. That upgrade belongs to the original title. Happy Hour’s upgraded Bomb changes what appears after the explosion. Duck Hunters 2 uses a vertical explosion. Copying the original five-by-five explanation into either of those games would be inaccurate.

These features interact within a round. A Bomb can alter positions before a collapse; a later cascade can use multipliers established earlier. It would be wrong to describe every visual event as an unrelated wager. Keep all continuations under the paid start until the game settles its return.

If you lose track of a combination, pause autoplay and use history after settlement. Its totals and replay controls help follow the completed round. Our ten-round accounting uses captured responses and balance changes; the ten individual history identifiers were not cross-checked. Keep that verification limit in mind when comparing the recorded balance sequence with a history replay.

For an existing 4× position affected by the original Bomb, doubling gives 8×. That is an update to the position state, not an €8 credit. Once the replacement symbols arrive, the game still has to find a paying combination. The distinction helps explain why spectacular activity can end without a large return.

The six-column, five-row board before the recorded sample. This opening arrangement is a control reference, not a winning outcome.

4. Understand the three free-spin tiers

Three Bonus symbols trigger seven Duck Hunt Spins. Four trigger eight Hawk Eye Spins. Five trigger ten Big Game Spins. These are starting allocations, not a promise that each feature ends after exactly that many spins. Extra +1 Shot can add a spin; an upgrade replaces it with Extra +2 Shots.

The original has three upgrades: Infectious xWays replaces regular xWays; the Bomb’s area grows to five by five; and Extra +2 Shots replaces the single-shot symbol. Duck Hunt awards one random upgrade. Hawk Eye awards two. Big Game awards all three. Position multipliers are retained during the feature and can affect later free spins.

The purchase panel can enter these features directly. At a €1 base stake, the inspected original prices were €70, €200 and €600. These are total purchase prices, not surcharges to add to the €1 base stake. A bought feature and a naturally triggered feature have different entry costs, so record which route was used.

Lucky Draw costs €235 at that base stake. The menu shows 50% Duck Hunt, 25% Hawk Eye and 25% Big Game. Those percentages concern the selected feature, not the chance of profit. The price equals the weighted listed prices of those entries, but that calculation does not determine the eventual return.

None of our ten ordinary rounds naturally triggered free spins. This sample therefore does not measure feature frequency or demonstrate natural-bonus settlement. The explanation here comes from the inspected rules; the small recorded ordinary-play example remains a separate type of evidence.

Use the full-cost calculator before comparing entries. A €50 return from a €70 purchase is a €20 loss, even if the game celebrates it. Compare everything charged with everything returned. Include later paid additions rather than treating them as invisible spending.

As a hypothetical counting example, seven starting free spins plus two separately awarded Extra +1 Shots gives nine awarded spins. If an Extra +2 Shots symbol is active, one such award adds two rather than one. Track the actual awards shown by that feature; do not assume that the name of the starting tier fixes its final length.

Prices sit below each feature. The 7, 8 and 10 on the top icons are starting free spins, not prices or guaranteed winning rounds.

5. Resolve the Extra Spin offer and check settlement

After some winning rounds, the game offers an optional Extra Spin that keeps the preceding position multipliers. Its price depends on those positions. The inspected rules say the offer appears when its cost is no greater than the preceding win. That condition does not make it free: the purchase uses value you could retain.

Bonus symbols cannot land during Extra Spin. It is not another ordinary attempt to trigger free spins on the same terms. The retained layout and separate charge make it a different decision. The original rules explicitly say optimal RTP is achieved by not choosing Extra Spin. A visually attractive layout does not overturn that statement.

Our second recorded €1 round accumulated €43.40 and offered Extra Spin for €15. We chose NO. The balance then reflected the full €43.40 return. Accepting would have been another paid decision with an unknown outcome. We cannot report the profit or loss of that unplayed alternative.

Do not close the tab because the total looks final while an offer is waiting. Resolve the visible choice and inspect the balance. The current client has automatic closure rules, including a 24-hour window for an unfinished Extra Spin offer. Routine play should not rely on delayed closure to clarify whether a purchase was accepted.

Record the starting balance, full charge, final return and ending balance. The identity is starting balance minus cost plus return equals ending balance. Keep cascades inside the round and exclude an unresolved offer from completed-round counts. If the connection fails, record the unresolved state before starting another session.

The ten-round chart and technical explanation follows this balance chain. It also explains why a positive sequence, a previous big result or a short losing streak cannot predict the next payout. Raising the stake after losses changes exposure; this sample provides no evidence that it improves the next round’s probability.

When comparing a replay with your own notes, look for a complete ending rather than only the largest win label. An accumulated amount during a cascade and the final available balance can appear at different times. If either the charge or the ending balance is missing, the screenshot alone cannot establish net profit.
